Avocado Oil

Green Avocado cut in half displaying the seed and exposed yellow/green meat of the fruit... Yes, fruits have meat. Odd fact if you're a vegetarian, especially if you eat Mince Pies.

Avocados are a fruit that is native to Mexico and South America. The yellow-green oil is produced by pressing dehydrated sliced avocados. It contains a high amount of oleic acid with small quantities linoleic, stearic and fatty acids. It also comprises vitamin A, C, D and E potassium.

Since avocado oil has great conditioning and moisturising properties it is used in hair and skin products. Similar to coconut oil, it can penetrate the hair’s cortex, which helps soften and re-hydrate dry hair. There are also claims that the oil can help interest hair growth by stimulating blood flow to the scalp.
