Beetroot juice for hair growth

These recipes have been chosen because they have key nutritional benefits that encourage hair growth.

Apple will add some sweetness and provide an additional source of vitamin C and E, which are antioxidants that help to remove damaging oxidizing agents.

Beetroot is a deep purple pigmented vegetable, which gets its colour from a compound called betacyanin. It also contains a chemical called nitrate, which the body converts into nitrate oxide.  Nitrate oxide widens the blood vessels and therefore helps to stimulate blood flow. Beetroot is also rich in potassium and contains vitamin C.

Carrot juice has been known to stimulate hair growth by improving blood circulation to the scalp. This is because it is packed with vitamins C and E, which increase blood circulation. Another important vitamin in carrots is beta-carotene, the plant’s source of vitamin A. Beta-carotene is converted into vitamin A, which is known for promoting scalp, skin and eye health. Carrots also have vitamin D and K as well as minerals such as magnesium, potassium and calcium.

Cucumbers are high in minerals such as potassium and manganese as well as silica and sulfur. Silica helps to strengthen and repair hair follicles and is known to give the hair a shiny appearance. Sulfur is good for stimulating blood flow, which also promotes hair growth. Cucumbers are high in chlorophyll, which is a pigment in plants that absorbs light during photosynthesis. Chlorophyll helps to strengthen and oxygenate your blood, thus improving circulation and blood flow around the body and to the scalp.

Ginger acts as a good circulatory stimulant, which increases blood flow in the body and to the scalp.

Spinach also has a high concentration of chlorophyll and is packed with nutrients. It contains calcium, vitamins A, C, E and K, thiamin, vitamin B6, iron and magnesium, just to name a few. All these vitamins and minerals are essential for hair health.

If you want to see results, like with everything in life, consistency is key! Three or more glasses a week for three months should be enough to see faster hair growth. With these inexpensive recipes, it should be easy to keep up the habit with one of these winning cocktails.
